We all know the feeling. You are tired. You are worn-out. You have a million other things on your mind weighted down by obligation. Fingers crossed, you gaze down at your training schedule hoping to see "rest day" or, ideally, "eat junk food and watch tv". My heart is so full. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of witnessing the greatness of some truly amazing people at the 2017 Sticks n' Stones Trail Race. Some of you even reached out to connect with me personally and share in the glow of your experience. You made me laugh. You made me cry. Your kind words were both encouraging and reassuring. Three sentences. That was all I asked for when I sent a quick message to a few people asking why running was important to them. I was looking to add some text to pages of our website. I reached out to local runners to give them an opportunity to share their voice. I expected their answers to reference fitness and physical wellness. What I received was so profound.
